I am passionate about making public institutions more accountable by amplifying how citizens, activists, and communities communicate in digital spaces.

I am a researcher and educator specialising in digital media, public communication and democratic engagement. My work explores how governments, advocacy groups and young people use digital media to influence policy and participate in public life — with a particular interest in listening, accountability and representation in democracies.

I apply this thinking to the organisations I work with. As President of Com.It.Es. NSW, I represent the Italian community in Australia on issues of citizenship, public policy and cultural life. This role has sharpened my understanding of transnational belonging and the everyday politics of representation, offering a lived perspective that enriches my academic work. Whether I’m analysing governmental listening or co-designing participatory initiatives, I’m driven by a commitment to making institutions more responsive to the people they serve.

I am a visiting Research Fellow at Western Sydney University and I teach media and communication at the University of Technology Sydney.
